Outside of work, which I don’t talk about here for confidentiality reasons and to keep my personal and professional lives a bit separate, I do only about four things. First, I am the father of a remarkable young man who is 14 months old as of this writing (November, 2007). Second, I am interested in politics and try to follow what’s going on politically as best I can in the time I have. Third, I think of myself as an artistic and creative person and I try to do as much art as I can (although in the past year, not much has percolated to the surface). Finally, and this is a hobby I’ve only been into for about a month, I brew beer. My blog - which is rarely updated at the moment, and hopefully I’ll be better at it in the future - is a place for me to share thoughts about these things. For those who are interested in who I am, please read the following.

Movies: I have a thing for action/adventure movies with lots of chase scenes and explosions, a strange attraction to the 007 movies, and I generally like artistic films that make me think about things in a different light. I love gangster movies. I like Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, Martin Scorsese, and Francis Ford Coppola. I do not like slapstick very much (although, if done really well - Mel Brooks comes to mind - it can be extremely funny).

Pet Peeves: It gets on my nerves when people hold strong opinions that they can’t (or won’t) back up with critical thought. I don’t like unnecessarily large vehicles. I wish everyone would realize that global environmental crisis is not a matter of opinion, but a matter of fact.

Degrees: BA in Political Science, 2007, University of Oregon.

Other Interesting Facts: If you take cranberries and stew them up like applesauce, they taste much more like prunes than rhubarb does.
